minutes for EC Meeting on wed jul 02 2008 at 07:00 pm

Officer Reports:

Business Manager (Scott McGraw):

• I will talk to Betsy about check for ACPA this week, will get back to Julie soon

Production Manager (Carlin Bright):

• I am in talks with someone about us being involved with an alumni dinner August 21st for people who have made a minimum of $10,000 donated. Dinner is in CFA on the stage, performing will be in pit area. They are asking for us to provide props/set dressings for theatrical stuff (lamp posts, secret hideout sign, etc). Also, they’re going to have performances with each course of the meal and would like us to provide one performance. Maybe have a person doing Open House perform? Also, we need someone to introduce our performance and talk about DramaTech.
• In late spring, guy in charge of Briton Dining Hall (public view) would like to do a dinner theater. Meeting this Thursday with him, Melissa, and Will Wright.
• Need a new director or musical director for VarietyTech. So far, Craig from Urinetown has been contacted.

Marketing Director (Nikky Saint-Aubin filling in for David Hollis):

• People have been showing up
• Poster and chalk needs to continue
• We’re gonna working on the sandwich board this evening
• If you want to flyer during lunch, let me know

Secretary (Melinda Ellington):

• Because of email issues, she did not receive anything for the weekly updayte. If there is anything that is time critical, email her and she will send it out Wednesday.
• She has posted minutes on the website
• Is pricing out a restock of the first aid cabinet (many things have expired)

MAL (Chris Bimbo):

• No Report

President (Julie Dykas):

• I have ACPA filled out, only get 35 words, have sent it to the EC, a few days before it will be sent out

Artistic Director (Melissa Foulger):

• No report

Committee Reports:

Technical Services Committee:

• We are meeting this evening to discuss the costume workshop
• Costume dock is slowly being cleaned
• Leaks in the green room are being looked at

Open House** (Morgan Miller and Stephanie Sellers):

• FASET bags, key chains, and magnets are in
• Grill is reserved
• Still looking for people to man booth stuff at Open House

New Business:

• DramaTech has the chance to be on the cover of Southern Theater Magazine, all we need to do is submit a picture. Everyone seems to be in favor of this. We have several options:
  • Use a picture Morgan has taken during the show
  • Have someone from DT pose a picture after a show
  • Ask the Technique photographer to come take a posed picture

We will be looking into all of the options. Pictures are due July 5th. We will be reviewing them at the next EC to finalize everything before submitting.
